Great opportunity for a Medical Assistant. Pediatric experience preferred or the desire to work with children. Punctuality, attendance and attention to detail must be a reflection of your character. This position is part time. Hours and days will vary. You may be asked to stay late or come in early to accommodate patients occasionally. Must be dependable.

Job Duties
Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations
Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations
Interviews patients to obtain their medical history
Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files
Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks
Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings
Purchases and maintains supplies and equipment
Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments
Answer telephone calls and schedule appointments.
Obtain PA’s for prescriptions when required.
Verify health insurance and collect patient payments.
Properly disposes of contaminated supplies
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Entering & Communicating data into Electronic Records Management system
Completing Electronic Medical Record daily tasks and Patient Portal requests
QUALIFICATIONS:
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology
Has the ability to prioritize assignments in a busy environment
Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently, bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
