We are looking for a Receptionist for our front desk on a daily basis for our very busy animal hospital. As a Receptionist you will be our first point of contact for our company. You will welcome our clients and their pets. You will schedule appointments, answer and directing phone calls, checking clients out and taking payments. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, compassion for all creatures and be able to handle stressful situations at times. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining the front desk duties. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
Welcome clients as soon as they arrive
Answer, screen and forward incoming calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone, email or fax
Skills:
Proven work experience as a Receptionist
Hands on experience with office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, computer, credit card machine
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organization skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Customer service attitude
High school degree
