Office Furniture Installation Leads & Supervisors – Emerald City Moving & Storage – Tukwila, WA

We are seeking experienced commercial furniture Installation Leads & Supervisors to join our growing field team based in Tukwila, WA. These positions include transporting, unpacking, assembling, and installing commercial furniture components such as tables, desks, cubicles, and cabinets in offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, and more. Our jobs are indoors and we are commercial-only: no residential work.

**Limited time hiring bonus: Up to $1000 bonus based on experience**

Pay: $20-$27/Hour, Depending on Experience


  • Primary Project Time Slots: 7am-4pm & 5pm-10pm

Installation Lead and Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Transporting, assembling, and installing high-quality commercial furniture such as desks, cubicles, shelving, cabinets, technology accessories, etc.
  • Collaborating with team members for the most efficient use of time, space, and skills
  • Being comfortable with a variety of locations and tasks
  • Reading blueprints or instructions for assembly and layout guidelines
  • Maintaining a neat and tidy work space throughout each project
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities – Assists in the training and development of quality installation professionals through direct on-site supervision and monitoring.

  • Oversees, develops, and evaluates quality installation professionals through direct coaching, training, and guidance of Installers
  • Communicates daily work plan to team members while promoting a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills by conveying information accurately and listens effectively to resolve problems
  • Documents employee behavior and disciplinary action that encompasses fair and honest feedback through coaching, performance reviews, and leading by example
  • Maintains a cohesive work environment for parties on job sites including other trades
  • Other duties as assigned

Operational Responsibilities – Ensures projects are completed on schedule and meet or exceed customer’s expectations.

  • Directs a team to meet internal and external expectations on projects including team cohesion, financial duties, and customer satisfaction
  • Communicates timely and effectively to internal and external resources involved in project
  • Provides direction and leadership for each project’s success

Financial Responsibilities – Accountable for time tracking and expenses details of project execution

  • Responsible for documenting team members’ daily time
  • Assist company and project leadership in maintaining profit margins for individual projects
  • Assist in resolving invoicing discrepancies as requested

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that develop and maintain relationships
  • Demonstrated effective management, including coaching and performance management skills
  • Ability to work with members at all levels and in a team environment
  • Detail oriented with focus on customer satisfaction
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn software for project management, timekeeping, etc
  • Experience with hand tools highly preferred (professionally or non-professionally)
  • Physical abilities: lift up to 50lbs, shift-on-feet, bending/twisting/carrying, etc.
