Good Shepherd Lutheran Community is looking for a caring and qualified LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse individuals to join our Day shift, Evening Shift, and Overnight Shift team. Our shifts are very accommodating, we have 6 hour, 8 hour, and 12 hour shifts available on all shifts. The ideal LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse will be energetic and passionate about delivering high quality, person centered care to individuals in need of skilled nursing and long-term care.

Licensed Practical Nurse Primary Function:

  • The LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse will work 12 hour shifts and works under the direction of the Registered nurse or designee and in compliance with state statutes and regulations governing the practice of nursing.
  • The LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse provides supervision and monitoring of medication aides and nursing assistants.

Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications:

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current LPN license from the State of Nebraska or a compact state recognized by the Nebraska Board of Nursing at the time of hire and maintain the license in good standing throughout the course of employment.
  • LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse must be certified in basic life support/cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) or complete certification within the first month of employment. Must maintain certification throughout employment.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.

Licensed Practical Nurse Overview of Physical Demands:

  • LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse work is typically indoors in a healthcare environment. Noise level is usually moderate, but may on occasion be loud
  • LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Physical abilities include extended periods of walking/standing and the ability to kneel, crouch and bend.
  • LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse must be able to deal with multiple interruptions. Work may be stressful when faced with multiple demands.

Job Types: Full-time, PRN

Pay: $22.60 – $34.32 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are provided appropriate PPE and wear masks at all times. Everyone entering facility are screened. Testing done 2 x’s per week to prevent outbreak. Our employees follow CMS vaccination requirements for COVID.

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • LPN: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
