Roles & Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. 1. Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
2. 2. Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition. Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
3. 3. Provides routine care for patients.
4. 4. Assists physicians and registered nurses.
5. 5. Communicates with patients and their families.
6. 6. Communicates with patients and their families.
7. 7. Prepares specimens for lab courier.
8. 8. Administers medications. Provides wound care. Prepares and administers injections.
9. 9. Verifies that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately. Observes and records patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatment.
10. 10. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:
Completion of a New York State-approved training program in licensed practical nursing.
BLS certification

Experience:
1-2 years recent nursing experience

Licenses:
1. LPN
