Clinician | Part-time | Greater Springfield Area – Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc. – Springfield, MA

Clinician Duties include:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to the youth in the program, at the program, and in their family homes.
  • Provide trauma-informed clinical case management to approximately 6 youth by coordinating team meetings, arranging appointments, creating treatment plans, and providing program recommendations on services to best help the youth/family.
  • Completing Comprehensive Clinical Assessments, and CANS, as part of the assessment process
  • Work closely and communicate well with funders/guardians to ensure satisfactory service delivery including meeting attendance and regular communication
  • Provide training to direct care staff on clinical issues pertaining to their work with clients
  • Maintain client records and documentation in accordance with licensing and funder requirements.
  • Participate as a member of the team within a clinically oriented trauma-informed treatment milieu
  • Participate in being on-call for after-hours client/program emergencies
  • Take on administrative tasks as delegated by the Program Director and/or Clinical Supervisor.
  • Performs Follow Along with Clinical Services, in coordination with staff when applicable to program type.

  • Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities independently
  • Ability to work with diverse populations at varying levels of management
  • Exceptional demonstrated writing skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new PC programs as needed

Working Conditions

  • This position is a Part-Time opportunity and the schedule will be determined by program needs.
  • The Clinician may share office space with up to two (2) other team members.
  • Working conditions also include travel between program sites, schools, medical offices, to and from scheduled training, etc.
  • This position involves being exposed to at-risk populations.
  • This position is classified as an essential position in the operation of the program.

Clinician Job Requirements:

  • MSW, M.Ed, MS in Counseling, Human Services, or related degree required
  • Independent Clinical License preferred; LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
  • One year experience in Human Services preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must meet Agency requirements for driving history records
  • Must meet Agency requirements for CORI/SORI background checks
  • Understanding/willingness to be part of a program that supports youth and families 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
  • Must have driver’s license and availability of a vehicle to support Program needs.
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish/English encouraged to apply
