Our optical clinic is seeking an experienced, friendly customer orientated and energetic Optician to join our team. We run an efficient and comprehensive eyecare office with no weekend hours. We are a family-oriented office that serves our community and believes in recognizing / rewarding our employees for their hard work and dedication.

The successful candidate should be prepared to work full or part time (no overtime) and should be knowledgeable about all different types of contact lenses and glasses. Our opticians work with patients one-on-one to find that perfect, unique fit for each individual. Educate patients on the doctor’s recommendations and explain the benefits of a specific lens or coating to cater to our patient’s needs.

Spadafora & Zak Eyecare provides comprehensive medical eyecare and sells frames in-house while sending out orders for lenses. Our patients expect fast, friendly service and attention to detail when fitting corrective lenses and glasses. Optician responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Providing Excellent Customer Service
  • Eyewear adjustment and repair
  • Communication with Doctor regarding patient recommendations
  • Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
  • Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
  • Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
  • Achieve sales goals and quotas while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
  • Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
  • Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Ophthalmology Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
