Geriatric Nursing Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking Geriatric Nursing Assistants to help provide care to elderly patients and patients with disabilities. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for helping patients with daily tasks. This includes helping patients move or get dressed, administering medications, or feeding patients. Our ideal applicant is a certified nursing assistant (CNA). While these credentials are important, it is just as crucial that you have specific experience working with elderly patients. You also need to have good physical stamina, a caring and patient personality, and excellent communication skills.

  • Grooming and bathing patients with low mobility
  • Preparing each patient’s room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and bathroom needs
  • Helping patients eat and take medications
  • Make sure they have regular meals and proper medication dosages
  • Monitoring vitals and patient behavior and reporting them to the nursing and medical staff
  • Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed
  • Turning or adjusting patients in bed to prevent bedsores or other discomforts
  • Exercising patients by helping them walk

Geriatric Nursing Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • CNA credentials
  • Experience working with elderly individuals
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent physical stamina
  • Caring and empathetic disposition

RATES: GNAs – $23.00 – $28.00/hr

Shifts Available: 7A | 3P |11P

12 hours and weekends
