Assistant Scheduling Coordinator – Acute Physical Therapy – Atlanta, GA

Acute Physical Therapy is an expansive physical therapy network that provides convenient, exceptional care that is cost-effective for physical therapists and their patients. At APT our team bridges the gap between attorneys, medical doctors, chiropractors, and our network of independently owned physical therapy clinics. We are looking for an Assistant Scheduling Coordinator to help with our quickly growing team.

Job Summary:
The Assistant Scheduling Coordinator performs a variety of clerical, recordkeeping, and customer service tasks to assist with the smooth operation of the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Greets and directs patients and clinics.
  • Answers phone calls and emails.
  • Follows up on appointments and referrals.
  • Records and documents patient and clinic interactions.
  • Generates and monitors daily patient status reports.
  • Notifies Lead Scheduling Coordinator of any existing or potential errors.
  • Copies, collates, and otherwise prepares reports for CEO progress tracking.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in hospitality and customer service environments preferred.
  • Ability to greet patients, and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Ability to record and document patient and clinic interactions.
  • Ability to generate and monitor daily patient status reports.
  • Ability to type at least 50 wpm.
  • Ability to proofread.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe software.
  • Basic understanding of office equipment.
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate.
  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred, but not required.
  • 1 year of customer service experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Computer skills: 3 years (Preferred)
