Morristown Medical Center, a member of Atlantic Health System, is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager to join the Leadership Team in Operating Room Department. The hours are Monday – Friday 11am – 7pm with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform all duties of RN with manager in coordination of unit activities, goals, and objectives.
- Responsible for the administrative functions in operating room, staffing, and directing surgical services personnel; providing mechanisms for ensuring quality care, issue resolution, and surgical service staff competency.
- Oversee API self-schedule and department payroll
- Facilitates and engages in effective problem solving.
- Available to surgeons, staff, supervisors, patients, and family members for clinical and administrative issues.
- Responsible for daily financial operations and assists manager in achieving financial goals.
- Facilitates the implementation and development of best practices.
- Candidate will keep manager informed of any issues and complete audits as needed.
- Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served. Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

- Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BSN required
- Master’s degree preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid New Jersey Nursing License required
- BLS required
- CNOR preferred
Relevant Experience:
- 3-5 years of Operating Room
- Charge nurse experience & leadership skills preferred
