Positions with an “FTE” of .5 – .799 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits* MEDICAL ASSISTANTJob Responsibilities: A Medical Assistant is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team.This individual is responsible for the following: Pre-visit planningStandard rooming responsibilitiesAssisting with procedures, discharge instructions and other duties as assigned.The medical assistant is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient’s visit.The medical assistant may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required.One to two years of clinical experience is preferred.American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.In addition, individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations of education and experience: A.A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate). – Additional certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.B.A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education, three 1 years of formal on the job Medical Assistant experience preferred. – Additional certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.C.Currently posses and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentialsa. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – AAMAb. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – AMTc. Assessment –Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)d. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) -NHALPNResponsibilities: A Licensed Practical Nurse is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team.This individual is responsible for the following: Pre-visit planningStandard rooming responsibilitiesAssisting with proceduresDischarge instructionsOther duties as assigned.The Licensed Practical Nurse is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient’s visit.The Licensed Practical Nurse may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations and other duties as assigned.Summary: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing is required.Current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.One to two years of related clinical experience is preferred.
