Radiographer

Performs all routine radiographic examinations to young adult-geriatric patients in a manner ensuring that studies produced are of appropriate technical quality; are produced in a timely manner consistent with departmental goals and objectives; are produced in a manner ensuring the minimum possible radiation exposure to the patient and are produced in a manner ensuring the delivery of appropriate general patient care.

• Perform patient care functions i.e., verifies patient ID, greets the patient upon arrival, assess patient physical ability, verify demographic and clinical information.
• Performs requested/required exams consistent with NEBH protocol.
• Consistently and accurately maneuvers equipment.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of human anatomical structure, physiological function and pathology.
• Practices proper aseptic or sterile technique during appropriate exams.

Requirements:

• Current ARRT Certification.
• Current state of Massachusetts Radiographer License.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or BLS certification.
• 1 to 2 years of experience.
• Departmental expectation minimum of 2 shifts per month.
• Participate in “call”, possible holidays, probable weekends.
