Institute for Specialized Medicine, an integrative rheumatology clinic is seeking a full-time physical therapy assistant. Job entails working with patients who typically have chronic inflammatory and degenerative conditions to achieve an improved state of well being. Work under supervision of head of physical therapy and rehabilitation.
Typical treatments include:
- Manual therapy
- Therapeutic exercises and instruction in HEP
- Ultrasound; hot laser; iontophoresis; e-stim; traction
- Vestibular rehabilitation—for individuals who have difficulty with balance, equilibrium or complaints of dizziness
- Fall prevention—improve flexibility, balance, and strength, reduce fall risk hazards
Requirements:
- Comfortable working in a busy team-oriented environment
- Enjoy interacting and conversing with people
- Manual therapy skills
- One year experience preferable
- PTA license required
- A qualified candidate will be a graduate of a professional training program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
