Vallen Allergy & Asthma Clinic is a specialized allergy and asthma practice in Quincy, MA that has been serving the Southern and Southeastern Massachusetts communities for over 32 years. We offer allergy testing, allergy shots, immunology and asthma treatments for children and adults. We are seeking to expand our services and our looking for a medical secretary to join our group. Dr. Vallen is our lead allergist and immunologist who is passionate about providing children and adults with the highest quality care. She has built her practice with team members who are dedicated to working in an environment with high expectations of delivering excellent care.

Job description

Medical Secretary/Receptionist
Responsible for all aspects of patient appointments:

Greet Patients, answer phone, collect and record payments, schedule appointments.

Follow-up on e-mail, phone and fax communications in a timely manner.

Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Ensures physician productivity by maintaining calendars; scheduling appointments and physician consultations.

Serves and protects the healthcare community by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Knowledge of Excel and Word.

Knowledge of eClincal Works EMR

High level of organizational and communication skills.

Strong attention to Detail.

Timely completion of all assigned tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

-High school diploma or GED required

-5 years of medical office experience

-Working knowledge HIPPA and other medical technology

At least 2 years of computer and office equipment experience including MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), Quick books, e- mail, scanner, facsimile machines, calculator, copiers, etc.

Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:

-2 years of medical administrative office experience

-at least 2 years of college education

-knowledge of food allergies a plus
