TGH is the area’s only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. Tampa General Medical Group (TGMG) is an affiliate of Tampa General Hospital and includes physicians specializing in cardiology, digestive disorders, endocrinology, family practice, hepatology (liver disease), internal medicine, organ transplantation, pediatrics and surgery. TGMG physicians provide care at convenient locations throughout the Tampa area.
Under general supervision of the department manager and medical and nursing staff, the Medical Assistant Technician (MAT) 2 follows policies, procedures, professional guidelines and provides clinical and clerical support such as assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, filing, retrieval of information and performance of screening examinations. Job duties are in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
High School diploma or GED. Medical Assistant Technician Certificate required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or three years of experience required.
