We are looking for a Medical assistant and or EMT that can provide a variety of tasks in a correctional facility. Part time and Full time available. Must be able to work all shifts but majority days and afternoons. Experience is a plus but our hands on, paid training and strong, supportive staff, supervisor and doctor make this the ideal position for even the less experienced go-getter.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A certification from an accredited medical assistant program and CPR/first aid certification are required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Must have basic computer skills
DUTIES
- Responsible for the performances of basic medical duties to include execution of physician orders, operation of pill call, operation of sick call, and assisting the physician in examinations and treatments and performs technical/clinical procedures.
- Assists in the examination and treatment of inmates under the direction of a physician
- Perform EKG’s and phlebotomy
- Document inmate information into medical records
- Obtain inmate medical records from other facilities and pharmacies
