Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health provides services for children and families in the child welfare system, to ensure a community without abuse, neglect and abandonment so all children grow to their full potential. Based out of Tampa, FL and providing coverage to Hillsborough Co., this position is responsible for coordinating all services rendered to, and acting as a single and continuous point of contact for, the child or family until reunification is complete, transfer to adoption achieved or independent living is realized. The case manager represents in court appointments, assists with medical appointments, family visitations, and coordination of information and resources with the CPI, the family and caregivers. This position may transport clients, and some transports may occur after 5pm.

Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, criminology, juvenile justice, psychology, sociology, counseling, special education, education, human development, child development, family development, marriage and family therapy, and nursing required
  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field preferred


Experience:

  • Two years of experience working with children, adolescents and families is strongly preferred.


Other Requirements:

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • On-call rotation
  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, TB Test. Devereux requires all employees to obtain the annual Influenza Vaccine.
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
