Caregiver, CNA or HCA Part Time (Mid morning-Afternoons) in Tacoma – Generations Home Care – Tacoma, WA

Looking for CNA or HCA’s Caregivers to work short shift hours 4.5 hours throughout the week and weekend (schedule below)
Work part-time in the Greater Tacoma Area. We are looking to set up a caregiver with a consistent client schedule (ongoing)
Mon 11:30-4pm
Tue-Fri 11:30-3pm
Sat 12noon-3:40pm
Looking for a compassionate caregiver who is comfortable using a Hoyer (one person assist, we can train) and a sit-to-stand to help this client. Cat and dog in the home, but no pet care is required.

Responsibilities

  • Incontinence Care
  • Dressing/Grooming

  • Serving clients with instrumental activities of daily living:
  • Cooking (Meal Prep)
  • Light Housework
  • Errands
  • Medication Reminder
  • Laundry
  • Pet Care
  • Transporting to Appointments
  • Ability to act quickly and responsibly to report cases of emergency and client change of condition

Qualifications

  • Credentials-Current CNA OR HCA in Washington State, or the ability to complete the CNA/HCA program by August 22, 2022 and obtain the certification by 11/22/2022
  • Education– High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year, preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation every single day
  • Ability to exercise acute independent judgment to enforce health and safety standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check prior to employment
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with the physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
  • Hoyer Lift and Gait Belt experience (specific to client) a plus
  • Being self-managed and self-directed
