WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Sorrento Therapeutics (“Sorrento”) is seeking an experienced Scientist/Sr. Scientist of Analytical Development to join our team.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Contribute to analytical/bioanalytical method development. Design and perform experiments, interpret data, write reports, and supervise junior research associate. Work independently under minimal supervision while performing the following method development and qualification: LC-MS analysis of large molecules, SEC, IEX and RP-HPLC, Peptide Mapping, Oligonucleotide Mapping, Glycan Analysis, CIEF, and CE-SDS etc.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, design, conduct and troubleshoot experiments in support of product development and project goals.
  • Develop and validate stage appropriate analytical methods, such as LC-MS, HPLCs, icIEF, CE-SDS, etc. for testing of DS and DP.
  • Perform antibodies, recombinant protein, and mRNA characterization and develop associated analytical methods.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professional expertise in one or more technical areas.
  • Present results of work, interprets data, and draws conclusions regarding presented material and nature of work.
  • Author reports, protocols, test methods, and other documentation
  • Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Deliver high quality results in an accurate and a time sensitive manner.


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PhD (with 0~2+ years of industrial experience) in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or other related field of science.
  • Experience in quantitative bioanalysis by LC-MS/MS is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with HPLC/UPLC or other analytical instruments.
  • Work in a GMP environment a plus.
