Position Summary
Performs procedures using ultrasound according to established protocols. Works closely under the direction of the Radiologist and other physicians
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program
o Certified by Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT) or equivalent
OR
o An Allied Health Education program for Medical Sonography certified by the Commission on Accreditation for Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in collaboration with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (JRCDMS)
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and/or the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
o Or registered within one year of hire
- Maintains good standing with the ARRT or the RDMS
- Basic Computer knowledge
- CPR certified
