- POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse (RN) works as part of a multidisciplinary team in the ambulatory Oncology/Infusion department to provide comprehensive services for the adult patient experiencing various stages of oncological and hematological disease processes as well other outpatient infusion services. The RN is responsible for assessing the health status of individuals and groups, establishing nursing diagnoses, identifying and planning goals to meet health care needs, prescribing nursing interventions, implementing the plan of care and evaluating and documenting responses to interventions.
The Registered Nurse delegates those interventions which may be performed by others, supervises as appropriate, assists in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care, provides education to patients, families and health professionals and collaborates with other health professionals in the planning and management of health care.
- QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION:
- Graduate of accredited RN program. BSN preferred.
EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
- 1 – 2 years Oncology experience preferred (N/A for those seeing per diem Infusion-only positions)
- 2 – 3 years Acute care experience with IV and implanted port proficiency preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):
- Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Vermont
- BLS healthcare provider status
- ACLS certification preferred
- Oncology Nurses Society (ONS) Biotherapy Chemotherapy course with passing exam within 6 months of hire (N/A for those seeing per diem Infusion-only positions

Schedule: Temporary, Day, 8AM-6pm, 30 hours/week, temporary position, infusion only, starting in late January
