Full Job Description

Laboratory Technician I collects blood samples from the different departments of the hospital including but not limited to Out Patients, In Patients, Pre-Op Patients and ED Patients. Laboratory Technician I also receives specimens from both the Pneumatic tube system and hand carried specimens and brings them to the designated section of the Laboratory for processing. In addition to that, Laboratory Technician I, also performs some of the waived testing available in the Laboratory such as Rapid RSV, Rapid Flu, rapid Strep and Rapid COVID test.
