Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assists in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including preparation and distribution of medications to patients and patient care areas. Adheres to MercyOne Northeast Iowa’s performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne Northeast Iowa.
Mininum one year pharmacy tech experience preferred. Pharmacy Certified Technician required within one year of hire. Registered with Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Technician or as a Pharmacy Intern within 30 days of hire.
Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology preferred. Ability to take direction and work as part of a team. Strong customer relations skills. Intermediate language, high math, intermediate reasoning ability. Personal computer, word processing knowledge.
