Clinical Administrative Associate – Vascular Surgery – UAB Medicine – UAB Medicine – UA Health Services Foundation (UAHSF) – Birmingham, AL

Provide administrative assistance to the Director of Vascular Surgery. Performs secretarial duties, coordinates itineraries, calendar, travel (domestic and international), manuscripts, abstracts, research assistance and general office duties, and surgery scheduling for vascular procedures. Also serves as Coordinator for Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency and Fellowship Programs.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Must be:(1) to type 50-60 words per minute accurately;(2) strong word processing skills, slide presentations, ability to use calculator and prioritize work.(3) good verbal and written skills required.(4) must be able to compose, edit and proofread work ;(5) maintain employee time records and departmental personnel files. Successful completion of a credit check, using banking industry criteria, may be required in determining the eligibility of candidates
