RN – Pediatric Nurse – Health Ministries Clinic – Newton, KS

As a RN – Pediatric Nurse Lead you will provide general nursing care to patients as well as step into the role of a leader in a pod. You will work collaboratively with providers and integrated team members of Health Ministries Clinic in order to provide exceptional pediatric patient care and ensure team members are too. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and embrace a team approach to patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimum primary care
  • Create and contribute to patients’ electronic medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Administer medications, vaccinations and render treatment to all ages as ordered by a healthcare provider
  • Respond appropriately to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients, parents, or caregivers
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts
  • Counsel and educate patients and family members before, during and after appointments
  • Assist with tracking of outside lab tests, procedures, radiology, and referral reports as assigned
  • Assist with tracking and maintaining a medical supply inventory
  • Be the primary contact for nurses and medical assistants in your pod
  • Follow and enforce HMC Policies

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associates degree or higher (Preferred)
  • License: Current Valid Registered Nurse license (Required)
  • Experience: Pediatric Clinical Nursing Experience (Required)
