HR Operations Immigration, Policy, and Compliance Specialist – Alarm.com – Tysons Corner, VA

Alarm.com is looking for an exceptional HR Operations Immigration, Policy, and Compliance Specialist to support operational and organizational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be well organized, have a high level of attention to detail, lots of energy and someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up in a tight-knit and fast-paced environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The HR Operations Immigration, Policy, and Compliance Specialist’s primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Act as lead to oversee Alarm.com Immigration program and work with sponsored employees, outside counsel, and internal Human Resources to ensure all steps of the Immigration process is done timely and accurately.
  • Responsible for HR Operations compliance tracker and updates. Remain up to date on federal, state, and local laws that pertain to HR processes as well as any COVID related business mandates.
  • Owns the Alarm.com employee handbook, and will make timely updates to the handbook and ensure the handbook it accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Will serve as HR Operations point of contact for internal and external audit requests, and filing of any annual federal reporting needs.
  • Act as one of the points of contact to our employees, responding to inquiries, always providing an exceptional experience.
  • Partner with our Senior Manager – HR Operations and internal teams on special projects as needed.
  • Create and document standard operating procedures for the entire HR team to work off of and follow.
  • Assist with HRIS team on reporting needs for internal HR staff.
  • Work closely with the other operation teams across the organization to ensure that we have the correct processes in place to be successful in a public company environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-year college degree in HR or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of related HR experience. Experience managing immigration and compliance programs a strong plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects; leverage strong time management and organizational skills
  • Experience communicating across all corporate levels including interfacing with top execs (we are an open door culture)
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • A very high degree of personal integrity and maturity including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • MS Office skills
