Salary: Commensurate with experience
Schedule: 45 hours/ week Monday – Friday
Essential Functions of the Job (include but not limited to):
* Candidate must observe, evaluate and assess individuals to determine need for behavior plan.
* Provide assessments on individuals as referred and/or requested.
* Advise, train and assist staff in the implementation of behavior plans.
* Provide regular and special reports to the Director of the Behavioral Department.
* Attend staff meeting as if requested by management. Attend manager meetings as requested.
* Coordinate meetings with appropriate staff, parents/guardians and case managers, as necessary.
* Participate in the development of IHP/IDT’s as requested. Attend IHP/IDT meetings as needed or requested.
* Participate in on-call rotation system
* Remain up-to-date on licensing requirements to ensure compliance.
*Commute to group homes as needed in Bergen and Passaic County.
*Experience with interacting with residents during a behavior or crisis (Crisis Training is provided).
Job Requirements:
*Must have BA in Psychology or Social Work
*1-2 years of supervised training in performing behavior assessment and developing behavior plans with the Adult DD/MR population.
*1-2 years of experience working with the mental health population
*Valid driver’s license and insurable by agency.
*Must pass background check.
Job Type: Full-time
