SR SYSTEMS ENGINEER – Temple University Health System – Philadelphia, PA

Responsible for the engineering, provisioning, installation/configuration, operations, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure for the VMware Infrastructure, Cloud and/or Citrix Environment and VDI environments. Automate configuration of system build, hardening, security patching and performance tuning for our virtualization, server infrastructure and virtual applications.

Assist in installation, monitoring, problem-solving and issue resolution for the full range of data center hardware, virtualization infrastructure and cloud. Establish monitoring for system alerts, develop SOPs for our operations center and provide hands on resolution of incidents. Work with members of the Architecture team to develop designs that will meet the requirements of the organizational and individual projects. Works with the Operations team to evaluate, improve, and automate infrastructure components. Work closely with the security team to ensure the remediation of reported security vulnerabilities. Provides Tier 3 technical support and 24×7 on-call services for supported environments. Develops and maintains appropriate documentation, including configuration and design documentation as well as maintenance, audit, and change management records.

Education
Bachelors Degree : Computer Science or related field (Required)
Masters Degree: in Computer Science, Management or related field (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience
5 Years experience with VMware or Citrix (Required)
5 Years experience with Windows Server Management (Required)
3 Years experience Linux Server Management (Preferred)
3 Years experience in healthcare environment (Preferred)
3 Years experience with Citrix VDI (Preferred)

License/Certifications
MCITP – Microsoft Cert IT Professional (Preferred) or MCSE – Microsoft Cert Solutions Exp (Preferred)
CITRIX – CITRIX Certification (Preferred)
VMCP – VMware Certified Professional (Preferred)
