Position Description:
Responsible for the installing, servicing, troubleshooting, configuration, IT and IP programming and testing of nurse call, paging and various other systems.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to respect and communicate effectively with all employees, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders. This is a union position that reports to the Healthcare Project Manager at the headquarters location.

Position Requirements:
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
• The ideal candidate would have three to five years’ experience in the professional low voltage electronics market, such as Nurse Call Systems and/or Professional intercom/paging Distribution Systems.
• Two- or Four-Year Degree is preferred in computer science or electrical engineering and/or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN and VPN networking.
• Proven experience with network capacity planning, security principles and general network management best practices, including troubleshooting
• Experience in low voltage service and installation of:
– Cable and proper Crimp Termination Skills
– Device Terminations
– Rack Termination and Installation
Experience with TCP/IP Protocol, Windows and Office 365
• Ability to Read and Comprehend engineered drawings and specification sheets
• Strong Troubleshooting skills
• Ability to Multitask, prioritize and self-manage under pressure
• Strong communication skills – written/verbal
• Work with a sense of urgency
• Work well with little or no supervision
• Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls
