Business Overview:

The Senior Warehouse Manager is part of the Clinical Diagnostics business unit (CDR) within our Clinical Diagnostics Division (CDD). CDR provides end-to-end customer solutions to establish manufacturing process and routine supply for a wide range of diagnostic reagents across multiple disciplines including immunoassay, clinical chemistry, hematology and molecular diagnostics. The majority of the business is supply of products that are manufactured on an OEM basis for the global leaders of the in vitro diagnostic industry. The business has employees at multiple global locations with dedicated manufacturing facilities in Middletown and a small, but rapidly growing satellite organization in Suzhou, China.

Position Summary:

Responsible for Warehouse footprint strategy development and take lead on strategy execution and new WHs setup. Lead Warehouse teams to manage Raw Materials (RM), Work-In-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG) handling, storing, and distributing at self-run or 3PL warehouses. Engage operations, suppliers, and other function teams to drive continuous improvements on process and material flow by utilizing Lean manufacturing methodology. Implement best practices to ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) achieved. Exhibit outstanding leadership and effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:

  • Achieve operational excellence in warehouse, including inventory accuracy, safety, and productivity improvement through all approaches like Cycle counting, FIFO discipline, EHS policy, Equipment maintenance, Standard Work, 5S management etc.
  • Enhance local/domestic transportation and distribution management through vendor management.
  • Work proactively with SCM and other functional teams to secure Revenue Growth, OTS Achievement, Inventory Control, and Supplier Lean Programs and so on.
  • Develop daily management mechanism within WH teams and regularly join relevant Tier Stand-Up meeting, focus on special case tracking and improvement driving.
  • Play key role in Service Contracting with 3PLs and other logistics vendors by working with Sourcing and Logistics teams, lead regular service reviews with 3PLs based on well-developed KPIs.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements relative to warehouse, transportation, and distribution management.
  • Develop team’s capabilities and skills to meet business needs, establish strong winning and supportive team spirit.

Educational Qualifications:

  • University graduate above, Master or MBA preferred
  • Major in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent

Experience Qualifications:

  • 12+ years solid experiences in Supply Chain, Logistics and Warehouse Management in multinational companies across Instrumentation, Medical Device, Biotech and Pharma Industry.
  • Extensive experience in managing 3PLs or Self-run WH and Distribution on Cold Chain and Dangerous Goods.
  • Good knowledge of ISO13485, GMP & GSP and other requirements on WH from FDA and NMPA etc.
  • Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiar with ERPs (like SAP/Oracle/Kingdee), have knowledge WM module or other WMS
  • Strong Leadership skills, 5+ year managerial position experience.
  • Can-do attitude, strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Good analytical and strong negotiation skills, high business acumen with strategy thinking.
  • Able to deal with complicated work under pressure
  • Good command of English, both oral and written.
