Registered Nurse (RN) – Valley View Recovery Center – Cannon Falls, MN

Summary:

Valley View Recovery Center in Cannon Falls, MN, a client-centered holistic MI/CD facility, is looking for a Registered Nurse for a 47-bed, high-intensity, residential substance abuse treatment program for adult men. Our nurses are active members of an integrated treatment team across all programs and services within the organization. They collaborate with clients to understand their goals and needs in order to tailor individualized plans that are preventative and restorative in nature.

Programming includes primary groups for substance use disorder, in addition to mental health groups, and alternative holistic therapies. Located on a beautiful campus, our clients are able to enjoy the fitness center and rec. areas. Recreation therapy is a huge part of what Valley View Recovery Center believes in, comprising of 1/3 of daily programming. Our goal is to provide support to individuals recovering from substance use disorder through a holistic approach, helping them find joy and hope throughout their healing journey.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Actively engaging with clients, developing positive relationships that support the client in meeting their goals
  • Assist in the treatment planning for clients and work with staff to provide direct, quality care for clients in accordance with nursing practice standards, established policies and procedures, individual treatment plan and regulatory requirements
  • Acting as a collaborative team member within the organization
  • Facilitating preventative and restorative health and well-being education in an individual and group setting
  • Providing information and/or referrals to resources in the community for increased support and stabilization
  • Medication management and reviewing medication log daily
  • Documenting observable behaviors and symptoms
  • Train medication administration personnel
  • Be on-call 24/7 for medication questions. This would be a shared duty with the other nurse on staff.
  • Creation and monitoring of individualized treatment plans and treatment plan reviews containing client’s goals, activities, and objectives of client care in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of client needs to make appropriate community and in-house referrals
  • Work collaboratively with all other organizational services and managers
  • Maintain ongoing, current, and required training for best practice service delivery
  • Complete documentation as appropriate regarding authorizations, client needs, family needs and agency requests. Document all contacts, incidents, and progress while client is in program
  • Responsible for obtaining and/or maintaining proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements

  • Maintain strict and confidential guidelines regarding current and former clients, their families, and referents in accordance with federal and state laws
  • Demonstrated ability and emotional intelligence to work in unpredictable, crisis response, and team-oriented setting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-directed and ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with Procentive software a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
