Medical Office Manager – Gut Theory Total Digestive Care – Washington, DC

Gut Theory Total Digestive Care is a niche practice that focuses on weight management through improved gut health via evidence-based nutrition planning, pharmacologic therapy, and endoscopic bariatric procedures.

Gut Theory Total Digestive Care is seeking an experienced Medical Office Manager to be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, experienced in identifying barriers to business growth and implementing marketing and advertising solutions, with effective communication and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. Applicants should have knowledge of health care and administrative software, basic financial and accounting experience. Knowledge of healthcare best practices and standards. Experience in hiring staff and overseeing workflow. As a small niche- one physician practice, the manager would also serve as an assistant on occasion with handling patient intake forms and data input.

The office manager duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring exceptional patient experiences and troubleshooting when necessary
  • Collaboration with physician to develop business strategies for improved patient services and effective work flow
  • Marketing, social media, website, SEO analytics and evaluation for site expansion and patient recruitment

o Effective communication with local practices for introduction and collaboration

o Liaison for collaboration with local business for improved patient care such as: food delivery, gyms, yoga, meditation

o Liaison for local media and news outlets for physician community outreach

  • Maintaining inventory, ordering supplies and products
  • Create, monitor and managing site annual operating budget
  • Collaboration with physician for effective and efficient patient flow

Hours

Part-time/Flexible – 25 hours per week

Both virtual and minimal in person work

Salary

Negotiable based on experience

Ideal candidates will have:

Education/Training

– Bachelor’s of Arts or Science in related field or equivalent

Experience

– 3-5 year previous office manager experience in a clinical setting. Entry-level financial responsibility. Experience building and motivating a team to accomplish desired goals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

– Ability to type 50 WPM

– MAC computer skills and the ability to quickly learn medical software are required

– Excellent verbal, written, communication and customer service skills.

– Ability to multi-task and function on your own to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

– Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the health system.

– Follow all CDC COVID-19 considerations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
