Advertised Job Summary

The Post-Doctoral Fellow will conduct research and support AI Institute faculty supervisors in the tasks of student mentoring, publications, technical activities and grant management on the topics of: Research in development and applications of Knowledge Graphs (semantic networks) utilizing machine/deep learning and natural language processing/understanding; advance the research on contextual, personalized, dynamic and causal knowledge graphs.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

PhD in Computer Science (proof of completion of all PhD requirements before the start of the position)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Demonstrated success in high-quality publications in the field(s) of candidate’s expertise.

Expertise in two or more fields of interest to the AI Institute at UofSC, especially Knowledge Representation, Machine Learning/Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing, Learning algorithms, Data management, and/or Explanation methods

Expertise in literature review, experimental research, evaluation, data collection, and analysis with scientific thinking with strong technical writing skills.

Expertise in programming and systems, including competency in one key language (e.g., Python), deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.), and data management methods for handling large data.
