Accountant/Bookkeeper – Innosense LLC – Torrance, CA

Currently looking to a Hire Book Keeper/Accountant in the Los Angeles County/Orange County/Torrance area. This Accounting position is responsible for various accounting functions and account reconciliations necessary in the periodic compilation of Financial Statements.

Tasks and Responsibilities that include but not limited to:

Accounts Payable-

– Process invoices for payment. Review invoices for correct extensions, coding, and propriety.

– Prepare checks or documentation of payment to pay approved invoices.

– File paid invoices.

– Prepare documents needed to prepare periodic General Sales Tax filings.

– Prepare A/P account reconciliations for monthly closing Financial Statement file.

Cash Management-

– Records checks or documents of payments of Accounts Payable.

– Record cash deposits and post payments to appropriate customer files.

– Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for closing Financial Statement file.

– Prepare cash projection reports.

– Prepare periodic ad hoc cash reports.

Accounts Receivable-

– Prepare Customer invoices for government and commercial contracts.

– Record cash deposits and post payments to appropriate customer files.

– File paid invoices in Closed Accounts Payables permanent files.

– Prepare A/R account reconciliations for monthly closing Financial Statement file.

– Prepare and maintain up-to-date listing of existing Customer contracts.

Payroll-

– Prepare semi-weekly payroll.

– Prepare account reconciliations of payroll related Balance Sheet Accounts.

– Prepare Overview Report following payroll.

– Review Final Payroll before issuing pay to employees.

Other-

– Ad hoc reports as needed by CEO.

– Maintain Fixed Assets Depreciation Schedule.

– Prepare journal entries to record Depreciation Expense.

– Maintain documents filing system.

– Review monthly General Ledger entries for correctness and propriety.

– In charge of creating, maintaining, and permanent filing of Notes Payable.

– Maintain Chart of Accounts.

– Assist other departments as needed.

Requirements:

· Education and skills: Undergraduate or graduate degree.

  • QuickBooks Experience

· General Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in American English, ability to work under deadline demands, active listening, innovation through hard work, strict compliance with workplace rules, complete cooperation with management, and team work.
