Description: POSITION PURPOSE
The Licensed Vocational Nurse, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for providing nursing care, health teaching, and health counseling of assigned patients during a given shift. The LVN assures the delivery of care by assisting in the implementation of the interdisciplinary and nursing plan of care.
. Requirements: POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Licenses or Certifications
Current license to practice vocational nursing in the state where currently practicing (LPN/LVN)
CPR required, ACLS preferred
Education, Training, and Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of professional vocational nursing.

Machines, Equipment Used
Clinical equipment used for patient care, i.e., glucometer, IV/enteral pumps, patient lift/transfer devices, bladder scanner, patient call light system, emergency equipment/defibrillator, and basic office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and transfer in excess of 100 pounds, which may require pushing, pulling, and utilizing full range of body movements. Ability to stand, sit, reach, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl, grasp, use fine finger movement.
Environmental Conditions
Indoors in climate controlled, well-lighted, and ventilated environment.
