Topline Group is looking for a strong intermediate level data analyst. Candidate must have a significant level of experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, and VB code if possible) and Access (queries, macros). A working knowledge of queries is expected. Candidates should be familiar with inner joins, left joins, and how to dedupe records in a query, and be comfortable working with nested “If” statements. This is a work-from-home position; however, candidates located in Lynchburg, VA or Greensboro, NC are a plus in terms of ability to easily meet with other staffers when necessary.
Candidate would work with and manipulate large customer data files containing several million records. The data will be analyzed to address key strategic issues for large sales organizations including questions like: 1) what is the optimal size of the sales force, 2) who should they be calling on, and 3) where should the sales associates be located. Candidates will also be expected to interact with clients via video conference calls to assist in reporting/troubleshooting when necessary.
A 4-year college degree is preferred but not essential, as is a minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in a data oriented position. Experience in the hotel/hospitality industry is another plus. Compensation is $50K to $60K commensurate with experience.
As mentioned above, this is a work-from-home position; however, candidates located in Lynchburg, VA or Greensboro, NC are a plus in terms of ability to easily meet with other staffers when necessary. Schedule is very flexible. Position is eligible for 401k plan and 2 weeks of vacation after one year of employment. Medical insurance coverage is not available at this time.
