If you love managing communication projects—tracking timelines, details, budgets, and moving multiple projects forward at the same time—then we want you on our team. Beyond these skills, we are looking for a solutions-oriented candidate who can thoughtfully weigh feedback and input before coolly managing challenges. This position requires the ability to learn quickly and handle a variety of tasks—whether that is managing a routine web update, creating a detailed project plan and budget overview, or building or editing a PowerPoint deck for a client’s presentation—and manage multiple projects concurrently with limited supervision using established procedures.

Duties will include:

  • Coordinating content production (e.g., outreach materials, web copy, news articles, newsletters, and social media campaigns) aligned with brand requirements and style guides
  • Finding innovative solutions and acting as a strategic partner to clients
  • Developing, editing, and publishing print and web content, following standards and best practices
  • Creating and tracking multiple timelines and budgets
  • Working closely with multiple teams across NREL and the U.S. Department of Energy communications offices to secure review and approval
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external clients
