CAG Acceptance is seeking a motivated Collector/Account Manager to contribute to a results-oriented team, by managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls and providing assistance to the Collections Manager. This role requires professionalism while assisting customers with questions and inquiries regarding their accounts and negotiating the best possible payment arrangements for their loan.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Make outbound and receive inbound calls, consistently following the company’s collections call model and techniques
  • Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand information and ideas as presented verbally
  • Negotiate payment arrangements with customers in a professional manner, showing sensitivity and tact
  • Make recommendations to litigate while following all state and FDCPA standards
  • Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts
  • Use basic business math to solve problems
  • Accurately process check-by-phone and/or ACH requests
  • Perform in-depth skip-tracing tasks
  • Meet monthly individual goals as set by the department manager
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • 2 years of collections experience in sub-prime auto loans
  • Knowledge of FDCPA standards and state laws
  • Must be able to maintain composure with difficult or irate customers
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must be reliable, punctual and professional
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Promote a positive work environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus!
  • Must be available to work Monday – Friday 8am – 5 pm
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
