CritiCare is looking for LPNs and RNs to provide care to children in schools in Lower Merion, PA, during typical instructional hours, Monday – Friday. Entry level nursing graduates and retirees encouraged to apply. Training provided! Full-time applicants preferred, but a job share will be considered for qualified candidates. Many children have not had a full year of in-person instruction since 2019 and are falling behind academically and socially. The schools in our communities need to start this school year safely and CritiCare nurses are being called on to meet this challenge. The impact will be significant; our LPNs and RNs will help the students, families, and faculties of our school partners to get back on track. Requirements:
Current PA LPN or RN license
CPR certification
PPD or Chest X-ray for TB screening results
Background checks (PA Criminal, FBI Fingerprints & PA Child Abuse)

New to school nursing or clinical pediatric care? No worries. We have you covered. CritiCare’s on-site nursing team will educate you and give you the support that you need to be successful as a LPN / RN in our School Nursing Services Division. We hire Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) who are new graduates, experienced nurses, retired nurses, and/or nurses looking for the opportunity to diversify their skills. *All qualified candidates will be considered!* We take an individualized approach when it comes to job placement and never place a nurse in a position outside of their scope of skills. CritiCare’s nurses assist children with medical needs with safe transport to and from school daily, provide area schools with substitute school nurses, provide care on a one-to-one basis for children in school, manage the quarantine rooms (as needed) at local public and private schools, administer temperature checks of students, faculty arriving for school, send nurses to accompany students on field trips, Special Olympics, Rapid CV-19 Testing, triage for sports events, dances, proms and so much more! Flexible schedules and consistent, long-term hours available.
Scheduling: You choose your assignments based on your schedule! Daily shifts ranging from 2 to 10 hours in duration are available. No evening, weekend, or holiday work required. 15 hours/month commitment required. Additional opportunities in home health care, COVID-19 mitigation, skilled nursing, and personal care assistance are also available. We make our placements based upon your availability, location, and areas of expertise/interest. Summer/evening positions also available, depending upon your desired schedule!
