Medical Exercise Associates is a state-of-the-art sports medicine clinic and medical fitness center dedicated to health and wellness. We have two physicians who specialize in sports medicine. Our facility is designed to bridge the gap between a typical physical therapy clinic and fitness facility though integrated healthcare and medical grade exercise programs. We are currently looking for an Athletic Trainer to join our team. The athletic trainer will assist one of our physicians three days a week by maintaining his schedule and coordinating patients’ care. The other two days a week will be spent guiding our patients through rehabilitation protocols.
Job Summary:
- Perform orthopaedic rehabilitation protocols as directed by the physician (both machine based and water therapy)
- Thoroughly document therapy provided and the effects on the patient.
- Communicate with the physician on patient status and any concerns with protocols.
- Responds to patients, prospective patients, and visitor inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Coordinate the patient’s plan of care with the physician.
- Ensures proper billing information has been entered for office visits.
- Ensure thorough documentation in all aspects of the job.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Athletic Trainer Skills and Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Must hold a current Florida license as a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
Experience/Skills:
Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
