Certified Medication Technician
- Follow State Board of Nursing standards for medication administration in assisted living
- Must have CMT license
- Safely and efficiently administer medications
- Documents and initials as medications are given; appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses
- Restocks medication cart after medication passes
- Assess the residents in determining need for “as needed medication” and appropriately documents and reports to supervisor
- * Maintains and cleans medication room, med charts, and treatment charts
- Helps residents maintain independence; promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident
- Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
