Welcome to Animal Emergency and Specialty Center. We are a 24/7 emergency care veterinary hospital that provides care 365 days per year. We offer intensive, compassionate medical alternatives for your pet’s most advanced healthcare needs. Our AESC physician team is comprised of board-certified or residency trained specialists across a variety of medical disciplines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Follow all protocols, policies, and procedures of AESC.
· Keep hospital wards and working areas clean and organized.
· Wash, dry, fold and put away laundry.
· Maintain the washer/dryer and laundry room area.
· Properly wash and sanitize patient dishes; return to the treatment area when dry.
· Properly wash and sanitize patient litter boxes; return to treatment area when dry.
· Thoroughly complete vacuuming and sweeping of all hospital wards and treatment areas.
· Follow hospital protocols regarding thorough mopping of the floors in all hospital wards and treatment areas.
· Thoroughly clean patient cages and kennels according to hospital protocol.
o Must be completed in a timely manner upon the patients release from the hospital.
· Collect and empty trash, recycling, and handle sharps according to safety protocols.
· Maintain the cleanliness of the outdoor patient areas to include; removal of solid waste and periodic disinfection of hard surfaces.
· Complete assistant weekly and monthly cleaning lists to include; deep cleaning of the treatment areas, kennels and all other clinical treatment areas.
· Assist veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants with patient walks if asked to do so.
· Communicate any patient concerns to appropriate personnel.
· Follow all OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.
· Other duties assigned as needed.
