We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the night shift (Thursday-Saturday) at our Crisis Triage Facility on the Almira Main Campus to conduct psychiatric assessments, make appropriate referrals to community physicians and administer medication in conjunction with the psychiatrist. We will rely on you to:

  • Examine clients and obtain admission orders within one hour from a physician
  • Communicate with providers, process orders, and implement a nursing care plan at admission
  • Document client care, medication, and treatment evaluate client responses to medication and revise nursing care plan every 24 hours
  • Collaborate with care team (providers, MHPs, shift supervisors) to establish goals and to lead wellness groups
  • Count and order medication for clients, maintain house stock, and dispose of medications according to KMHS protocol
  • Obtain, verify and initiate provider orders, including seclusion/restraint orders per WAC 246-337-110
  • Initiate emergency procedures and perform appropriate nursing/medical interventions
  • Train, educate, and mentor new nursing staff and nursing students
  • Participate in discharge planning, including medications and review of treatment goals
  • Complete nursing notes, physician orders, and other documentation in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in WA
  • 2 years of RN experience preferred
  • 2 years of experience in mental health preferred
  • Experience in psychiatric environment preferred

  • New grads are welcome to apply
