Regional Operations Director Radiology – Geisinger – Lewistown, PA

Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Radiology Service Line. Ensures the service line goals are aligned with the organization’s broader mission, vision, and driving strategies.

  • Oversees all inpatient and outpatient operational activities for the service line.
  • Develops and maintain positive relations with referring physicians and other community constituents.
  • Provides administrative support to achieve the objectives of medical education and clinical research.
  • Establishes long-range objectives and monitors the financial performance of the service line.
  • Provides guidance to staff to ensure that service performance standards are met.
  • Establishes and manages service line operations to growth and budget targets.
  • Ensure that staff is focused on key performance indicators.
  • Works in conjunction with leadership on budget and contingency plan development process.
  • Facilitates active engagement and communication with department staff via formal meetings and informal interactions.
  • Handles all performance management activities for non-physician staff.
  • Participates in activities to recognize individual and staff performance maintain a positive and motivational work environment.
  • Ensures annual staff education is conducted in accordance with all safety requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and additional regulatory requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Service Line Director, develops a non-punitive culture that encourages discussion and preventative activity of safety issues.
  • Ensure that the service line meets access, efficiency, patient throughput, productivity, and service goals.
  • Evaluates regularly the effectiveness of the service line and implements changes as necessary to promote strategic and operational effectiveness.

Bachelor’s Degree-Related Field of Study (Required), Master’s Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)
