BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: Supports manufacturing and engineering through the performance of plumbing services, assemble, install, repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, steam, sewer and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes
Shift: 10-hour shift 2:00am-12:00pm Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + OT as needed
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Demonstrated above average craft/mechanical ability (carpentry, millwright, tinsmith, plumber)
- Boilers License or ability/commitment to obtain Boiler License within 6 months after starting in the position
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability/experience using precision measuring instruments
- Welding experience
- Basic knowledge and repair of hydraulic systems
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting and moving up to 50 pounds
- Works independently under minimal supervision, a self-starter
- Experience trouble shooting low voltage electrical equipment via multi-meters
- Ability to work in confined spaces and on elevated equipment (heights)
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE CAPABILITIES
- Basic chemistry knowledge
- Experience handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning experience
- 2 year degree or certification in related field
- Verifiable Plumbing or Pipefitting experience in commercial or residential
