Biology Substitute Teacher, Long Term Assignment (Esperanza College Prep)
Objective
The Biology Teacher (Long Term Sub) will have three primary functions during their time with us: leading an advisory of students, serving as a biology teacher, and being a contributing team member to multiple teams. The position will last for approximately 3 months.

Located in East Los Angeles, CA, Esperanza College Prep opened its doors to its first 9th grade class in August of 2017 and currently serves students in grades 9-12. Esperanza College Prep provides students and families with a safe and nurturing school culture that has high expectations and delivers a rigorous personalized college prep experience. Esperanza College Prep will prepare each of its graduates to use their college degrees and careers to make a Positive Multigenerational Change.
Responsibilities
The Biology Sub will serve our students in Biology coursework and will also provide other support as needed to the Science Department.
We’re Looking For:

• 1+ years of teaching experience with a strong record of improving student learning
• A BA or BS Degree
• A California Single Subject Teaching Credential or Out of State Teaching Credential (Preferred)- or the appetite to work toward one!
