MA for Pediatric Office Lab Technician – PEDIATRICS EAST – Memphis, TN

Immediate need for a detail oriented and strongly motivated individual who is able to function efficiently in a fast-paced moderately complex lab environment. The employee must be able to handle multiple patient specimens for testing and reporting in a timely manner. The employee must be very reliable to come to work daily and be on time. Key job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Performs accurate and appropriate testing of specimens (cbc, micro urinalysis, urine cultures, covid/flu tests, strep, glucose, mono, and more) received in the laboratory, according to established laboratory protocol and procedures. Participate in proficiency tests 3 x a year and be able to maintain testing equipment. Orientation/training provided.

Reports test results in the EHR in a timely manner according to established laboratory protocols.

Follows established procedures for laboratory quality control, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, compliance activities, and policies and procedures.

Effectively manages resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Plans work and completes job responsibilities in an efficient and productive manner.

Assists physician’s nursing staff as needed with patient triage, immunizations, and other duties.

Applicant must have MA certificate or higher degree.

Full time position M-F (7:30a-5p) with possible opportunity for weekend clinic.
