Mental Health RN Instructor, Days (Full-Time and Part-Time) – Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts – Concord, CA

Gurnick Academy is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as: Vocational Nurse, Psychiatric Technician and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN pathway) as well as Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician and healthcare programs: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, Ultrasound Technology, MRI, Radiologic Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging.

Gurnick Academy is seeking an experienced RN Clinical Instructor with emphasis in Mental Health Nursing for our Concord, CA Campus.

Basic Function
The primary function of the Clinical Instructor is to ensure that Gurnick students are prepared for a clinical day, ensure the students are assigned patients and work that supports the instructional plan for the given week, give quality feedback on performance (both verbal, written, and through observation), and serve as a liaison to the clinical site.

Requirements

  • Current and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
  • A Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3 years of continuous experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care within the last 5 years
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body, staff, faculty, and administrators
  • Ability to use computers and other technologies for teaching and learning

Salary: DOE

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
