What Are We Looking For?

UCI is currently looking for a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our team. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Corporate Health & Wellness supports their assigned region by attending various onsite Corporate Health & Wellness events as directed by the Corporate Health & Wellness Coordinator. The LPN prepares patient for visit, shows patient to treatment area, takes vital signs, performs blood draws, administers vaccines, and performs nasal swab testing. The LPN will cross-train and perform the duties of a patient services representative (PSR) and will handle administrative duties to support the department.

Do You Have What It Takes?

A good candidate will bring with them:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Experience: two (2) years of experience as an LPN preferred.
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in South Carolina;
  • BLS or ACLS
  • Willing to work at various locations throughout South Carolina and flexible to travel and complete overnight stays on a regular basis
  • Experience with taking vitals, phlebotomy, and vaccine administration
  • General knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality
  • Computer skills and knowledge of basic medical terminology
  • Willing to work 12 hour shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, along with proper telephone etiquette
  • Tactful and professional manner
  • A team player and a self-starter. Able to work independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent customer service skills both with patients and company contacts.

An ideal candidate would also have:

  • Experience working with health and/or wellness events
  • Billing and coding experience
