Job Summary

TestPros is looking for a Senior Manager to support our Accessibility consulting work for various Commercial and Federal consulting services projects.

This role is responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of consulting services and product implementation projects. In this role, the selected candidate will work with our client’s product development teams consulting on establishing an accessibility practice within their own QA environments. Selected candidate will work with other team members and be part of a cross-functional services team, to support all accessibility consulting and management level criteria. The Senior Accessibility Consulting Manager must be delivery- and efficiency-focused, with the ability to manage all aspects of a consulting project to include resource planning, process improvement, talent management, and customer relationship management. Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality consulting services across a portfolio of commercial and federal government projects
  • Monitor performance of team members and provide timely feedback and development assistance
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning, innovation and excellence
  • Manage resource assignments and staffing levels, including recruitment as needed
  • Identify and implement improvements to the processes and tools used in the Accessibility Consulting practice area
  • Work closely with development teams, product managers, and customer success teams to ensure successful delivery of consulting services or product implementation projects and remove roadblocks
  • Review and approve formal statements of work, change requests, and proposals
  • Review the organization’s process to ensure whether they align with the current policies
  • Formulate timely reports and documentation to track progress
  • Work with customers and identify the and consulting opportunities to meet their accessibility standards
  • Providing consulting to development teams and help them build accessibility into their existing quality programs
  • Analyze the data to find the areas for improvement
  • Effectively collaborate with peers and company leadership to accomplish team, corporate and client objectives
  • Performs accessibility audits and assessments of web, desktop, mobile, and other forms of ICT.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with assessing conformance to Section 508, WCAG 2.0/2.1, and DHS Trusted Tester requirements.
  • Ability to conduct quality control and quality assurance reviews of compliance documentation, such as Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates and other compliance reporting mechanisms (e.g., Accessibility Conformance Report Tool)
  • Identify and clearly document accessibility issues.
  • Identify and clearly document remediation recommendations.
  • Answer developer, designer, and content contributor questions about accessibility requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional digital accessibility testing.
  • Experience evaluating web pages for WCAG 2.1 A/AA conformance. •
  • Intermediate skill level and accessibility testing experience with at least one of the following screen readers: •
  • Experience using a variety of assistive technologies, e.g.,NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, Talkback, etc.
  • Experience coding accessible web pages using HTML and CSS.
  • Experience testing native mobile apps for accessibility.
  • Can write accessibility recommendations for remediation.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with agile web development processes, technologies, and tools
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once, while still paying attention to detail
  • A strong work ethic and self-starter attitude, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience and advance certifications/course work
  • One or more professional certifications such as: IAAP WAS, CPACC, DHS Trusted Tester v5, etc.
